By: Thomas Brewington

For the last 29 years the name Electronic Arts‘ “Madden” has been THE primary NFL video game franchise. Named after legendary Oakland Raiders coach John Madden, the franchise has managed to evolve and elevate itself into the realistic football simulation game we know and love today.

Madden NFL 18 continues that legacy, giving us the first game on the Frostbite engine. The new engine boasts beautiful graphics and smoother, realistic physics, immersing us completely into the broadcast styling of the game.

This year’s cover athlete is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who brought New England back from a 25 point deficit in last years Super Bowl, to defeat the Atlanta Falcons, and capture their 5th NFL World Championship.

In a collaboration with Better Live Than Dead, our own Eric Emanon, owner of Indy Card Media, ran through a simulation of the upcoming 2018-2019 season, and came out with some interesting results.

Watch the video below, and see for yourself:

Can Tom Brady, the G.O.A.T., be the one to break the Madden Curse?

There’s only one way to find out…

The NFL kicks off it’s new campaign tonight as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the defending champion New England Patriots at 8:30 PM (Eastern) on NBC.
