Felix Kjellberg, better known as the uber-popular YouTube personality known as PewDiePie, dropped a massive racial slur during a livestream this afternoon (since then removed from his channel). The derogatory term was used whilst playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which can be seen below (obviously, there is graphic language, and we have left it uncensored):
‘What a fucking n****r… sorry but what the fuck,’ he said as he then paused and apologised before laughing and realising his error.
This is not the first time Kjellberg has come under fire for racist comments, as earlier this year he was previously tied to Nazism, and use of continued Anti-Semetic statements.
PewDiePie is YouTube’s top games streamer with 56 million subscribers, and an estimated yearly income in 2016 of $15 million, and his use of hateful language has in the past seen him lose a brand deal with Disney and his YouTube Red series cancelled.
With this latest happening, could this be the end of PewDiePie’s reign on top of the YouTube mountain?
