PewDiePie Apologizes For Using Racial Slur During Live Stream

By: Thomas Brewington

After making a controversial racial slur during a live stream video over the weekend, YouTube star Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, has released a video apologizing for his words.

I should know better,” Kjellberg said. “I can’t keep messing up like this.”

You probably won’t believe this when I say this, but, whenever I go online and I hear other players use the same kind of language that I did, I always find it extremely immature and stupid,” Kjellberg said. “And I hate how I now personally fed into that part of gaming as well.”

He went on to say: “ I’m just an idiot. But that doesn’t make what I said, or how I said it, OK.

The video, which can be seen in it’s entirety below, has no jokes, and takes a rather somber tone.

We shall see if Kjellberg sticks to his word about this latest controversy, as previously he managed to undermine his own promises of “getting better”.
